Housing Affordability

As a real estate broker licensed in nearly 30 states, I understand the economic forces driving home prices higher, especially the limited housing inventory that makes it harder for young families to stay and thrive here in Farr West.

Most of us share the same goal: to create opportunities for our children to live, work, and raise their families close to home. There’s also a strong need for more transparency around how current and future developments are planned and communicated with all residents, and I will strongly promote improving on the good efforts that have been made already.

As Mayor, I will work with all residents, land owners, developers and home builders to provide a variety of housing options that fit within our general plan, ensuring growth that’s both thoughtful and consistent with our community values. Affordable housing is a responsibility we all share, and with creativity and open communication, we can integrate these options into neighborhoods while protecting the Farr West way of life that all of us hope to maintain as we grow and develop.

I will advocate for thoughtful updates to our general plan, leveraging experienced and skilled professionals, to balance growth while preserving the character of our community. I'll work to maintain the small-town values we treasure while planning wisely for the future. I believe strongly that we can do both, without losing the strong community feeling that we all love about Farr West.
