Budget

Just like in my personal life, I believe in living within our means, avoiding wasteful spending, paying down debts, and planning ahead to prevent financial crises. As a Vice President of operations for large publicly traded company, I had to work within and manage to very large budgets, shaping and building financial stability, and ensured long-term solvency for the department I oversaw, and the company as a whole. These same principles guide my approach to public service: being responsible with every dollar, planning for the future, and protecting the financial health of our city will be a top priority.

As your Mayor, I’ll work to encourage taxes are fair and balanced, leaving them alone, helping to protect young families, and senior residents from undue burdens. At the same time, I’ll work hard to explore creative, and what I believe may be untapped ways to bring in new revenue, even right now, while partnering with surrounding cities, businesses, and the county to strengthen our financial foundation without raising taxes unnecessarily.
