Economic Development

Residential growth is inevitable in Utah, and Farr West is no exception. For us here in Farr West, I believe some of the most important keys to economic success is balancing housing needs with strong business opportunities. As northern Utah continues to attract expanding companies, our city must continue to be ready to proactively market Farr West and help businesses find the right locations, while offering smart incentives to encourage investment as we have been doing. I will work to expand on these efforts for smart, sustainable, attractive business growth.

I believe there are also untapped opportunities right here in our own backyard right now, that can strengthen Farr West’s economy and increase city revenue, without placing unnecessary burdens on our residents. By working closely with local entrepreneurs, encouraging smart business development, and building partnerships with surrounding communities and county leaders, we can expand our economic base, improving our top line, while maintaining the character that makes Farr West unique. Proactively seeking these opportunities will help fund critical, and maybe even time-sensitive infrastructure needs, improve city services, all while positioning Farr West as a thriving, self-sustaining community for generations to come.

I will commit to building strong relationships with every existing business in Farr West, as well as our neighboring city and county leaders, supporting their success while attracting new opportunities that fit our community values. Just as important, and probably more importantly, we must ensure infrastructure keeps pace with growth. I will work closely and build strong relationships of trust with state officials and agencies to keep Farr West a top priority for resources and planning, to help position our city for long-term growth & success.
